Outside sales software for 20 to 100 reps: the short answer
Per-seat outside sales software costs a team of 40 reps between $12,960 and $106,600 a year on published list price, and the first line on the quote is rarely the one you pay. Lead Mapper is $27 per rep and month ($12,960 at 40 reps), SalesRabbit Pro $49, Badger Business $58, Leadbeam Starter $59, RepMove Accelerate $80, Map My Customers Industry Leader $99, eSpatial Professional Territory Manager $2,665 per user and year. SPOTIO publishes no price at all. Outside sales software here means the map, route, territory and done-or-skipped layer on top of the CRM your reps already use.
Three things move the bill more than the price per seat: a seat minimum above your headcount (Map My Customers Field Intelligence: 35 seats, so 20 reps pay for 35), a price cliff at a user count (RepMove: $54 up to 10 users, $80 from the 11th), and a term that renews itself unless you give written notice 30 days before it ends, with fees that can rise at renewal and "All Fees are non-refundable." (SPOTIO terms).
Own calculations are marked as model. Pilot 8 reps free for 7 days, no sales call, no seat minimum.
Outside sales software lists that rank their own maker first
A ranking written by a vendor is a sales page with numbers in front of the names. Ecanvasser's guide ranks six tools and puts "1. Ecanvasser" at the top. CloudTalk crowns a telephony product "Best Field Sales Software Overall" in a category where reps drive to customers. Neither prices a team of 20 or more.
Prices on these pages go stale. Badger Maps' guide to outside sales CRM lists Salesforce Enterprise at $165 and Unlimited at $330, two editions that no longer appear on Salesforce's pricing page; read on October 8, 2026, it starts the CRM tiers at Core, $195, and Advanced, $395, both billed annually.
Every number below carries a source and a read date, and the result is the same at 20, 40 and 100 reps: Lead Mapper has the lowest list price in this table. The three things a vendor list leaves out decide a 50-rep purchase: the total for your headcount, the minimum you must buy, and what the contract lets the vendor do after you sign.
The ranked version of this market is our ranking of field sales software, the per-vendor list is the price index, and the category itself is explained in what outside sales is. This page prices the decision for a team too big to buy by credit card and too small for a procurement department.
Outside sales software cost at 20, 40 and 100 reps
The table multiplies each vendor's published list price by headcount and by twelve months, using the annual plan wherever one exists. Prices are from the vendors' own pages, read 8 October 2026. Seat minimums are applied.
| Tool and plan | List price per rep | 20 reps a year | 40 reps a year | 100 reps a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lead Mapper | $27 a month | $6,480 | $12,960 | $32,400 |
| SalesRabbit Pro, annual | $49 a month | $11,760 | $23,520 | $58,800 |
| Badger Maps Business, annual | $58 a month | $13,920 | $27,840 | $69,600 |
| Leadbeam Starter, annual | $59 a month | $14,160 | $28,320 | $70,800 |
| RepMove Accelerate, annual (11+ users) | $80 a month | $19,200 | $38,400 | $96,000 |
| Badger Maps Enterprise, annual | $95 a month | $22,800 | $45,600 | $114,000 |

Model: list price per rep x reps x 12, USD, annual billing where offered, before tax, add-ons and discounts. Sources: each vendor's live price page, read 8 October 2026. SalesRabbit Pro: $49 annual, $75 monthly.
Per rep and day, over 230 working days (model, the same basis as our drive-time data), that is $1.41 for Lead Mapper, $2.56 for SalesRabbit Pro, $3.03 for Badger Business, $3.08 for Leadbeam Starter, $4.17 for RepMove Accelerate, $5.17 for Map My Customers Industry Leader and $11.59 for eSpatial. The planned miles of that same day cost more than any of them: the benchmark of 3,508 real routes puts the median team's route at 57.9 miles, $44 at the IRS rate of 76 cents ($35 on the pooled median of 46.6 miles). Lead Mapper pays for itself if it takes 1.9 miles a day off a rep's route; at $11.59 a tool has to take off 15 (model).

Start the 8-rep pilot freeSeat minimums and price cliffs in outside sales software
A price per seat is only true inside the range the vendor designed it for. Two vendors break on headcount (RepMove at the 11th user, Map My Customers at 35 seats), two on the plan (eSpatial, Leadbeam), and SPOTIO prices nothing in public. Lead Mapper has no seat minimum and no price step: 8 pilot reps, 11 reps and 80 reps are all $27 per rep and month.
RepMove: one more user, 63 percent more on the bill
RepMove's Sales Pro plan is $54 per user and month, billed annually, "For up to 10 users". Accelerate is $80 "For 11+ users". Ten users cost $540 a month, or $6,480 a year. The eleventh user moves the whole team to Accelerate: 11 x $80 = $880 a month, $10,560 a year. One seat adds $4,080 a year and the monthly bill rises 63 percent (model). The boundary matters twice: "Two-way app integration" is listed from Accelerate, Sales Pro carries "One-way integrations". Above 10 reps the price is $80, and the plan with the two-way CRM connection.
Ten RepMove users at $6,480 cost what 20 Lead Mapper reps cost.
Map My Customers: you pay for 35 seats before you have 35 reps
Map My Customers lists $99, $139 and $199 per user and month, paid annually, with this rule on the pricing page: "The minimum is 5 users for the Industry Leader plan, 10 users for Enterprise, and 35 users for Field Intelligence plans." A 20-rep team on Field Intelligence is invoiced for 35: 35 x $199 x 12 = $83,580. The 15 seats nobody sits in cost $35,820, 43 percent of the bill (model). When we read the page on 19 July 2026 the Industry Leader minimum was 3 users; on 8 October it is 5, so last quarter's quote is out of date. The Map My Customers pricing breakdown has the plan-by-plan detail.
SPOTIO: a minimum team, no price, no trial
SPOTIO's plans page says "SPOTIO is designed for teams of 5 or more field sales professionals." It publishes no per-user price: "We provide custom pricing to align with your exact needs." It offers no trial: "We don't offer a free trial, but we provide comprehensive demos and can arrange pilot programs for qualified prospects." And it states that "most customers are up and running in less than four weeks". For a 40-rep team that is up to four weeks before the first routed day, and without a trial the only test drive is a pilot SPOTIO grants to "qualified prospects". The help center adds how the seats are billed: the user commitment "is the MINIMUM number of licenses you will be charged for at each billing date", you pay in advance for active licenses, and new licenses are billed "at time of invite". More in the SPOTIO pricing breakdown and SPOTIO alternatives.
eSpatial and Leadbeam: the jump is the plan, not the seat
eSpatial's plans all carry "Minimum 3 users": Mapping Pro $499, Professional Territory Manager $2,665, Advanced $4,999 per user and year, plus "Salesforce Integration + $ 5,995". The eSpatial pricing breakdown shows how the package moved between June and October 2026. Leadbeam lists Starter at $59 and Pro at $149 per rep and month, 153 percent more, with Territory Mapping only in Pro.
Contract terms that change the price of outside sales software
The price per seat assumes you keep the seat for the year. What happens when you want fewer seats, want out, or the vendor wants more is in the terms, and none of the pages that rank for the category print them.
| Vendor | Term | Leaving or shrinking | Source |
|---|---|---|---|
| SPOTIO | "which term shall automatically renew" | Written notice "at least 30 days prior to the end of the renewal term"; "All Fees are non-refundable."; on termination Licensed Content is "immediately deleted" | spotio.com terms of service, section 7 |
| SalesRabbit | "Yes, we do contracts from one to three years." | Seats invoiced = "the minimum number of seats required or the number of active users on the account, whichever is higher"; annual seats "paid upfront for one year" | salesrabbit.com/pricing |
| Map My Customers | "Plans are based on a 12-month commitment" | "Downgrades will take effect at your annual renewal cycle." | mapmycustomers.com/pricing |
| eSpatial | 12 months, then "consecutive rolling terms of twelve (12) months each" | 30 days' notice before term end; "Customer is not entitled to a refund for any unused or unassigned User IDs." | espatial.com MSA 15.1, 4.4 |
| Lead Mapper | $27 per user and month, billed monthly, no annual contract, no seat minimum | No price step at any headcount; add or remove a seat any month; 7 day trial, no sales call | lead-mapper.com |
Quotations from the vendors' pages and agreements, read 8 October 2026. A quote or order form can differ from the public page; ask for the order form before the pilot, not after.
Read it as a cash calendar. With a 12-month commitment and annual prepayment, 40 reps on Map My Customers Industry Leader commit $47,520 on day one, before the pilot proves anything. On Lead Mapper, billed monthly, the money committed on day one is one month: $1,080 for 40 reps (model). If you buy 50 seats and field 40, Lead Mapper bills 40, and 41 the month after you hire one. SalesRabbit invoices the higher of the minimum and the active users. eSpatial refunds nothing for unassigned IDs.
The three-year view at 40 reps
SalesRabbit offers contracts of one to three years, so price the full term. Over three years at 40 reps Lead Mapper is $38,880; the list-price gap is $31,680 to the next cheapest tool (SalesRabbit Pro), $103,680 to Map My Customers Industry Leader and $280,920 to eSpatial (model, flat prices, no discounts). SPOTIO's terms allow fee increases at renewal with 30 days' notice and eSpatial's MSA (8.1) lets it vary fees on 30 days' notice, so for those two any three-year total is the floor, not the bill.
Outside sales software that draws territories in minutes, not zip codes
A territory by zip code or by county looks clean in a slide. A rep sees something else: a river with one bridge, a highway exit that closes the east side at 4 p.m., two accounts that are 3 miles apart and 40 minutes apart. When the territory is a polygon, the rep with the bad polygon drives and the rep with the good one sells. Your quota treats them the same.
Zip codes hide the one number that sets a rep's day: drive minutes per stop. In the benchmark of 3,508 routes it runs from 3.3 minutes on the quarter of routes with the shortest hops to 18.6 on the quarter with the longest, a factor of 5.6. Lead Mapper draws a territory by drive time, 1 to 60 minutes around a start point, so two reps with a 30 minute territory carry the same windshield budget whatever the map looks like. Assign a territory to each rep, move an account to a neighbour and both territories recalculate; the manager view shows planned stops, done stops and drive minutes for every rep, 40 reps on one screen.
For a team of 40 the test takes one afternoon: connect your CRM (the first sync takes up to 30 minutes), draw today's territories as drive-time areas and read the overlaps and the gaps. Where two reps cover the same accounts, one of them drives for nothing. Where accounts fall outside every area, nobody owns them. Draw your 40 territories free.
Outside sales CRM: which one the tool has to connect to
Most teams that search for an outside sales CRM already own one. The question is rarely "which CRM replaces ours", it is "which field layer connects to the one we have, in which direction, and on which plan". The CRM is the other half of the bill: Salesforce Core is $195 per user and month on its pricing page, $93,600 a year at 40 reps (model). That is why the field layer is bought separately, as an addition to a system you already pay for.
| Tool | CRMs named on its pages | Direction and plan |
|---|---|---|
| SPOTIO | Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho | "a deep, native 2-way sync" for Salesforce; HubSpot, Dynamics and Zoho through Zapier connectors |
| Badger Maps | Several, per its pricing page | "2-way, real time CRM integration: single object, unlimited records" |
| RepMove | Not listed by name on the pricing page | Sales Pro: "One-way integrations". Accelerate (11+ users): "Two-way app integration" |
| Map My Customers | Not listed by name on the pricing page | "Two-way CRM sync" |
| SalesRabbit | Not listed by name on the pricing page | "API & Integrations" listed from Pro |
| Leadbeam | "Connect to any CRM" | "Leadbeam is a CRM companion", not a CRM |
| eSpatial | Salesforce | Salesforce integration is a $5,995 add-on line |
| Lead Mapper | HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Dynamics, Close, GoHighLevel, Attio, Zendesk Sell, Keap, Less Annoying CRM, NetSuite | We set up two-way sync with the CRM you own for your team: visits, notes and field changes written back, on any of the 12 connectors, on the $27 plan, no per-CRM fee |
For a buyer of 20 or more seats the direction of the sync belongs in the contract, not in the demo: ask each vendor to write down which objects move which way, and on which plan. And count the CRMs: a team on HubSpot today and Salesforce after an acquisition wants a second connector, not a second quote. All 12 connectors are on the integrations page.
Connect your CRM and see the routes before you sign anything
Pick your CRM from 12 connectors, let your accounts load, and give 8 reps a drive-time territory on a real week. 7 days, no sales call, no seat minimum.
Connect your CRM freeBuying outside sales software for 40 reps: the procedure
This is the order a head of sales can run in two weeks. Each step removes vendors, so the demos at the end are with two, not ten.
- Fix the CRM. Write down your CRM and the objects reps must see in the field: accounts, contacts, deals. Then strike every vendor that will not commit in writing to two-way sync on your plan (RepMove: 11+ users only; eSpatial: $5,995 extra). This step removes the most vendors and costs one hour.
- Price the headcount you will have in twelve months. Use the table above at your number, plus the hires already approved and the seasonal reps you expect. Then apply the minimums: a plan with a minimum above your headcount charges for empty seats.
- Ask four questions in writing before the demo. Does the term auto-renew, and with how many days of notice? Are fees refundable if the pilot fails? Can seats be reduced mid-term, and from when? What is the exit: is your data deleted, and when?
- Pilot with 8 reps on two kinds of territory. Take 4 reps from your densest territory and 4 from your sparsest, because drive minutes per stop differ by a factor of 5.6 between the shortest and the longest hops. If the short-hop four finish far more planned stops than the long-hop four, the problem is the territory, not the tool.
- Score the pilot on three numbers you already have. Stops marked done in drive mode (the median team marks 62.8 percent done and 37.2 percent skipped, 22 teams), the share of the planned day spent driving (29.7 percent at the team median), and drive minutes per route (114). Drive mode in Lead Mapper records done or skipped for each stop, so the first of the three comes out of the pilot without a survey.
- Set the decision date before the pilot starts. Name the date and the owner; sign nothing before it.
Pro tip for a head of sales with 40 reps: get the month-13 price in writing before the pilot
Take the quote for 40 seats today and ask what the same 40 seats cost at renewal. SPOTIO's terms allow fee changes at renewal on 30 days' notice, Map My Customers allows downgrades only at renewal, eSpatial rolls into another 12 months unless you give notice 30 days before term end. Three lines in a spreadsheet: price today, price in month 13, last date to cancel. The vendor that will not write the second line down has answered the question. Lead Mapper's list price is $27 per rep and month at every team size, billed monthly, so there is no renewal date to miss.
Outside sales software questions from buyers of 20 to 100 seats
Do I need an outside sales CRM, or a field tool on top of my CRM?
A field tool on top, if your reps already log in a CRM. The check takes ten minutes: list the three objects your reps open at a customer (account, contact, deal) and ask each vendor in writing whether those three sync both ways on the plan you would buy. A second CRM for 40 reps costs more than the field tool: Salesforce Core alone is $93,600 a year at 40 reps (model). Only a team without any CRM needs a standalone outside sales CRM.
What does outside sales software cost per rep?
On list prices read 8 October 2026: $324 to $2,665 per rep and year. Lead Mapper $27 per rep and month, SalesRabbit Pro $49, Badger Business $58, Leadbeam Starter $59, RepMove Accelerate $80, Map My Customers $99 to $199, eSpatial $2,665 per user and year; SPOTIO publishes none.
Is there a seat minimum for outside sales software?
At several vendors: SPOTIO is "designed for teams of 5 or more", Map My Customers sets 5, 10 or 35 users by plan, eSpatial 3 on every plan. Lead Mapper has no seat minimum, so 8 pilot reps and 80 production reps buy the same plan.
Is there outside sales software that is month to month?
Yes. Lead Mapper is $27 per user and month, billed monthly, with no annual contract and no seat minimum: add a rep in March, remove one in June. Elsewhere a monthly price and a monthly term are two different clauses: SalesRabbit Team is billed monthly at $59, yet its FAQ says contracts run one to three years. Check the order form.
Which CRM integration should I check before I buy?
The CRM on the vendor's list, the sync direction for the objects your reps use, and the plan that includes it, in that order. RepMove puts two-way sync on its 11+ user plan, eSpatial sells the Salesforce link as a $5,995 add-on. Lead Mapper connects 12 CRMs on the $27 plan: see all integrations.
How do I choose outside sales software for 50 reps?
Price 50 reps at list: Lead Mapper $16,200, SalesRabbit Pro $29,400, Badger Business $34,800, RepMove Accelerate $48,000, Map My Customers Industry Leader $59,400, eSpatial $133,250 a year (model). Strike every vendor without two-way sync to your CRM on that plan, pilot 8 reps on a dense and a sparse territory for 7 days, and score done rate, drive share and drive minutes against the benchmark.
