SPOTIO pricing in 2026: what it costs, and how the billing actually works.

SPOTIO publishes no prices. So we read their pricing page, their billing documentation and more than 800 reviews, and wrote down what they actually say.

Short answer

SPOTIO does not publish a price. Their pricing page states only that pricing is user-based and sends you to a demo. There is no free trial, and the stated minimum is five reps.

What you can find out in advance comes from their billing documentation: you commit to a licence count in your contract, you are billed in advance on a quarterly or annual cycle, a new user is charged from the moment you invite them, and deactivating people does not take your bill below the number you committed to.

Where this comes from

Every quote on this page was read directly from SPOTIO's own pages or from a public review platform, with the date noted. Sources: spotio.com/pricing (19 July 2026), support.spotio.com billing and territory articles plus spotio.com/features (28 July 2026), and the SPOTIO profiles on G2, Capterra, the Apple App Store and Google Play (all July 2026).

We build Lead Mapper, which competes with SPOTIO. That is exactly why we have quoted rather than characterised, and why the section on what SPOTIO does well is as sourced as the rest.

What SPOTIO's pricing page actually says

Read on 19 July 2026, the page carried no dollar figure anywhere. What it did carry:

Pricing is user-based. View add-ons below for additional benefits.spotio.com/pricing, 19 July 2026
We don't offer a free trial, but we provide comprehensive demosspotio.com/pricing, 19 July 2026
Minimum team size: 5+ field sales professionalsspotio.com/pricing, 19 July 2026

The page also states implementation takes "less than four weeks". Every call to action across their product pages reads "Request A Demo" or "Get a Demo" (checked 28 July 2026). There is no self-checkout anywhere on the site.

We also checked the Internet Archive. Snapshots of spotio.com/pricing exist for March 2023, May 2024, November 2024, June 2025, July 2025 and October 2025, and none of them contain a price either. This is not a temporary state, it is how SPOTIO has sold for at least three years.

How SPOTIO billing works, from their own documentation

This is the part worth reading before a demo call, because it is where the cost of the contract is decided rather than the sticker price. All quotes below are from their billing article, read 28 July 2026.

You commit to a seat count, and that becomes your floor

User Commitment - how many licenses have you committed to keeping "active" on the account at each billing date. This is the MINIMUM number of licenses you will be charged for at each billing date.support.spotio.com, SPOTIO Billing: Managing Your Invoice

The capitalisation of MINIMUM is theirs, not ours.

Shrinking the team does not shrink the bill

If you have fewer licenses in use than the number of licenses in your user commitment, you would simply be charged for the number of licenses in your user commitment at the next billing.support.spotio.com, SPOTIO Billing: Managing Your Invoice

If you commit to 12 reps and run 8 for a quarter, you pay for 12.

You pay in advance, on a cycle set in the contract

Their documentation describes two intervals: "Quarterly* - 3 months in each billing cycle" and "Annual - 12 months in each billing cycle", and states that "you are paying in advance for the Active licenses on the account". The asterisk matters:

*Note - not all contract values qualify for Quarterly payment intervals, if you are interested in learning more please contact your SPOTIO Account Executive or Customer Success Manager.support.spotio.com, SPOTIO Billing: Managing Your Invoice

In other words, smaller contracts may be pushed to annual prepayment.

A new rep costs money the moment you invite them

You are automatically billed for new licenses at time of invite.support.spotio.com, SPOTIO Billing: Managing Your Invoice

Not at first login. At invitation. Which is why their own documentation recommends this housekeeping routine:

BEFORE adding a new user to your SPOTIO account and purchasing a license for them, suspend users that do not need SPOTIO access, then add new users.support.spotio.com, SPOTIO Billing: Managing Your Invoice
We recommend putting a reminder in your calendar for the week before your invoice due date to assess the users in SPOTIO.support.spotio.com, SPOTIO Billing: Managing Your Invoice

That is a vendor telling you to diary a recurring admin task so their billing model does not cost you money. Worth factoring into the total cost.

What this means for your budget

Since there is no published number, the responsible thing is to tell you what to ask on the call rather than invent a figure. Five questions, all drawn directly from the documentation above:

  • What is my user commitment, and what happens if headcount drops? The answer determines your real floor for the whole term.
  • Quarterly or annual prepayment? Their own note says not every contract qualifies for quarterly.
  • What is the per-licence price at my seat count, and at one tier up? Pricing is user-based, so the number moves with volume.
  • Which capabilities are add-ons? Their pricing page references add-ons directly: "View add-ons below for additional benefits."
  • What does renewal look like, and what notice do I have to give? Renewal terms are the single most common complaint in their public reviews, covered below.

What reviewers say about the price and the contract

Contract and renewal complaints are not a one-off for SPOTIO. They appear independently in 2017, 2019, 2021, 2024 and 2026, across two platforms. All quotes verbatim, with the date and rating as displayed:

  • "Signed contract, spotio processed payment" (Capterra, October 2017, 1 star)
  • "they will make you sign a. Agreement" (Capterra, May 2019, 1 star)
  • "Locks you into a ongoing yearly contract and charges for users" (Capterra, July 2021, 1 star)
  • "There is no customer service once you sign a contract" (Capterra, September 2021, 1 star)
  • "Support was done through an auto bot. No direct dial support. Booked appointments for support and they didn't show up." (Capterra, September 2024, 1 star)
  • "Their customer success team is not helpful when it comes to renewal. They hide things in their contract and try to take money from you" (G2, January 2026, 0 stars)

That last reviewer also reported "The initial setup was not easy; it took us 2-4 months" and "It's not great software for the price."

On implementation time the sources disagree and we are not going to average them: SPOTIO's own page says "less than four weeks", G2's aggregated user data shows "Time to Implement 1 month", and the reviewer above reported two to four months. Ask for a written implementation plan.

The five-seat minimum also has a human cost that one reviewer described directly: "They require you to sign up with a minimum of 5 sales reps... now they treat me like I'm worthless since I don't want a team" (App Store, November 2022).

The rating gap you should look at before signing

SPOTIO's scores differ sharply depending on whether the reviewer chose the software or was handed it.

PlatformRatingReviewsWho writes there
G24.5399Mostly buyers and managers
Capterra4.378Mostly buyers and managers
Apple App Store3.4322Reps, daily use
Google Play2.2278Reps, daily use

Ratings and counts as displayed on each platform in July 2026. The 2.2 on Google Play is the lowest score of any of the eight field sales tools we researched.

One Android reviewer explained the mechanism better than any analysis could: "I'm not a fan, but I'm forced to use the app because my company uses the app" (Google Play, September 2025).

Recent Android reports are specific: "I have to uninstall and reinstall this app every day to get it running" (July 2026), "Keeps shutting down. Costing me time and money." (September 2025), and "This is the most laggy app I have ever used... It takes 10+ seconds to pull up leads regularly." (April 2025). If your team is on Android, read that listing before you sign anything.

What you get for the money

SPOTIO is a serious product and the price question deserves the other side of the ledger. All of the following is documented on their own pages:

  • Genuinely strong territory management. Draw freehand boundaries, generate them from a state, ZIP code, city or county, or type postcodes and stack them into larger areas.
  • Native routing with lasso selection and recurring routes, plus a dedicated Route Optimization module listed on their platform page.
  • Two named AI modules. DASH prepares visits and captures data by voice and photo; Next Best Action scores records and recommends the next step. Their page notes "Every action is confirmed by the rep before it saves."
  • Deep canvassing tooling: GPS trails, call recording, e-contracts, leaderboards, map colorisation, record merging and SFTP upload all have help articles.
  • Territories can only be created on desktop, and postcode territories work only in the US, Canada and the UK.
  • Connectivity is a recognised weak point. G2's own con-tagging counts "Connectivity Issues (4)", and a reviewer reported trouble "loading houses if I have less then 2 bars of service" (August 2022).

SPOTIO compared to the alternatives on price

When SPOTIO is the right call, and when it is not

Choose SPOTIO if you run a door-to-door team of five or more, canvassing is the core motion, you need GPS trails and e-contracts in one system, and a four-week implementation with a dedicated account manager is a feature rather than a cost. It is built for that job and the territory tooling is among the best in the category.

Look elsewhere if you are a solo rep or a team of two to four, you want to test the software with your own accounts before committing budget, your reps are on Android, or you need to be able to scale seats down as well as up without renegotiating.

The alternative we build

Lead Mapper is $27 per user per month, or $47 with the AI layer. There is no seat minimum, no annual commitment and no demo call between you and the product. You sign up, import your accounts or connect your CRM, and you are routing in about half an hour.

Where SPOTIO is stronger: door-to-door canvassing workflows, e-contracts, call recording and a Salesforce connector, which we do not have. Where we are stronger for a field team working named accounts: price, routing up to 6,000 stops, two-way sync with eight CRMs including Pipedrive, HubSpot and Zoho, and the ability to try it today without talking to anyone.

FAQ

How much does SPOTIO cost per user?

SPOTIO does not publish a per-user price. Their pricing page says pricing is user-based and directs you to a demo for a quote. Archived versions of that page going back to March 2023 also contain no prices.

Does SPOTIO offer a free trial?

No. Their pricing page states: "We don't offer a free trial, but we provide comprehensive demos" (checked 19 July 2026).

What is SPOTIO's minimum contract?

Their pricing page states a minimum team size of five field sales professionals. Their billing documentation additionally describes a contractual User Commitment, the minimum licence count you are billed for at every billing date.

Can I cancel SPOTIO mid-term?

Their public documentation does not describe a self-serve cancellation path, and billing runs in advance on quarterly or annual cycles set in the contract. Renewal terms are the most frequent theme in their negative reviews, so get the notice period in writing.

Is SPOTIO worth the price?

That depends entirely on the motion. For a canvassing team of five or more it is a mature, capable platform with strong territory tooling. Reviewers who question the value tend to be smaller teams and individual reps: "It's not great software for the price" (G2, January 2026). Since the price is not public, compare the quote you receive against the published numbers in the table above.

What is the best SPOTIO alternative?

It depends what you replace it with. SalesRabbit is the closest door-to-door competitor and publishes its prices. For field teams working named accounts rather than knocking doors, Lead Mapper, Badger Maps and Map My Customers are the usual comparisons, and Lead Mapper is the only one with no seat minimum and a trial you can start without a sales call.
