Salesforce mapping: the short answer
Connect Salesforce to Lead Mapper and every address on your Contacts, Accounts and Leads becomes a pin you can filter, route and assign. $27 per user per month, billed monthly, no seat minimum, no annual commitment.
For 40 reps, Lead Mapper is $12,960 a year. Salesforce Maps bought as an add-on at the $75 on its pricing page (read 11 October 2026) comes to $36,000 a year on an annual contract, by our own arithmetic.
Your reps get a rep app of their own. Route of the day in drive order, and every stop a rep marks done is logged back to the Salesforce record as a completed activity. Salesforce announced that its standalone Maps app for iOS and Android "will be retired on August 31, 2026", with Maps continuing inside the Salesforce mobile app (Trailblazer Community, read 11 October 2026). Lead Mapper is the app your reps open for the route. Start free trial
What Salesforce mapping looks like in Lead Mapper
Lead Mapper reads three Salesforce objects and puts every address on the map as its own pin.
| Salesforce object | Addresses that become pins |
|---|---|
| Contacts | Mailing address and Other address |
| Accounts | Billing address and Shipping address |
| Leads | Lead address |
A contact with two addresses gets two pins. Fields such as Lead Source, Status and Type become filters and pin colors: show only open Leads from last month's trade show, or color Accounts by Type. A click on a pin opens the record in Salesforce Lightning.
On top of the pins your team gets what a field day needs: territories you draw on the map and assign to reps, routes optimized for drive time and distance, and exports as PDF, KML, CSV and GPX. Opportunities go on the map too: each open Opportunity pins at its Account's address, colored by Stage, so the rep sees the deal at the door. Every visit a rep marks done is logged back to that Salesforce record as a completed activity.

Salesforce publishes two Maps prices, both "Billed annually": Salesforce Maps at "$ 75 USD/User/Month" and Salesforce Maps: Advanced at "$ 125 USD/User/Month" in its price table. The same page states: "All per user products require an annual contract." (salesforce.com/
| Reps | Salesforce Maps ($75) | Maps Advanced ($125, price table) | Lead Mapper ($27) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | $18,000 | $30,000 | $6,480 |
| 40 | $36,000 | $60,000 | $12,960 |
| 100 | $90,000 | $150,000 | $32,400 |
At 40 reps, Lead Mapper costs $23,040 a year less than Salesforce Maps at $75, by our own arithmetic. And because Lead Mapper is billed monthly, you can start with the reps who need a route first and add the rest when you are ready.
Salesforce's own FAQ answers "Is Salesforce Maps included in my Sales Cloud license?" with "No, Salesforce Maps is not automatically included in your Sales Cloud subscription." Lead Mapper connects to the Salesforce you already run, at $27 per rep. The whole market is in the field sales software price index.
Salesforce mapping on the phone: a rep app built for the route
Picture a rep getting into the car at 7:30 with nine accounts to see. The accounts are in Salesforce. What matters at that moment is whether the route is on the phone.
In a February 2026 post in its Trailblazer Community, Salesforce announced that "the standalone Salesforce Maps application for iOS and Android will be retired on August 31, 2026"; Maps on the phone continues inside the Salesforce mobile app (Trailblazer Community post, read 11 October 2026). Lead Mapper is a rep app of its own, on iPhone and Android, built around the route of the day: the rep taps through the stops in driving mode and marks each one done or skipped, each visit logged back to Salesforce as an activity, while the manager sees the same territory on the desktop map.
A tip for a manager with 40 reps: check the address your Accounts will pin
Lead Mapper pins both the Billing and the Shipping address of an Account. If your org keeps Billing clean and leaves Shipping blank, the only pin sits at head office instead of the customer's door.
On Monday, build a Salesforce report on Accounts with "Shipping Street equals blank", sorted by owner, and send each rep their own list. One pass through that list per rep, and the first routes on Tuesday start from the right door.
